Darnell Van Vleet hit five of Auburn’s nine 3-pointers to help the Knights beat Guilford 77-53 Saturday at Auburn. With the win, the Knights take sole position of first place in the NIC-10 (5-1 overall, 2-0 NIC-10).
Van Vleet finished with a game-high 26 points, with four 3s coming in an 18-point first quarter. Kashif Maxwell added 12 points and two 3-pointers. Guilford’s Dontay Hanson had a team-high 17 points.
