The Durand football team had a frustrating night in the rain Friday, losing 14-0 at Ashton-Franklin Center.
A-FC’s Kyle Bridgeman plunged in for a 2-yard touchdown run in the first, and A-FC returned an interception for a touchdown in the fourth to go ahead by two scores.
The Bulldogs had their chances on offense but couldn’t convert.
“We had opportunities and didn’t make plays,” Durand coach Matt Kinney said. “We’d drive down the field and get a penalty or drop a snap.”
The loss was especially frustrating for Kinney because he felt his team was more physical than A-FC but was still unable to score.
“We won the battle up front but lost the battle of execution,” Kinney said.
