Boylan 73, Freeport 58: After an un-Boylanlike start to the year, the Titans appear to be back in form as the postseason nears.
Boylan (17-9, 11-5 NIC-10) stormed out to a 16-point first-quarter lead and rolled over Freeport (14-13, 7-9) 73-58 on Friday night, finishing third in the conference after a rough start.
The Titans lost five of their first 10 conference games of the year, but finished with six straight league victories. They open regional play Monday against Harlem.
Against the Pretzels, Shane Zackery nailed four 3-pointers and finished with 22 points, while Michael Morman added 13. Freeport’s Austin Davis scored 16 and Ryan Hickey chipped in with 12.
