South Beloit won its own Martin Luther King Tournament Monday with two wins against Keith and Alden-Hebron.
The Sobos (16-0) started with an 80-42 win against Keith led by Antonio Littleās 20 points. South Beloit outscored Keith 31-17 in the first quarter and then broke the game open for good with a 31-7 second-quarter run.
Denzel Woods chipped in 15 points for the Sobos. Jason Jennings scored 22 points for Keith.
In the tournament finale, South Beloit locked up the title with an 88-61 win over Alden-Hebron. Little sank seven 3-pointers and finished with 28 points. Woods (17 points), Katonka Friar (16) and Matt Ennis (11) also scored in double figures for the Sobos.
South Beloit led 41-34 at halftime before pulling away in the third. Little sank four treys while the Sobos went on a 28-12 run.
