DURAND — Orangeville, with a young team toughened by adversity last year, is building a turnaround season. The Broncos, 5-31 the previous four seasons, improved to 2-0 with another tight victory, 13-6, led by Riley Kubatzke’s 169 yards rushing.
Kubatzke put the Broncos ahead 7-0 at the half with a 1-yard run in the first quarter. Bob Sweet pulled Durand (0-2) to within 7-6 with a 1-yard run in the third quarter, but Orangeville’s Steve Snider added a 1-yard TD run in the fourth. Mitch Alberstett led Durand with 102 yards rushing.
