Guilford 70, Harlem 67: Guilford stunned Harlem 70-67 at home Saturday behind Leandre Harmon’s 22 points and a solid night at the free-throw line.
After their first conference victory Jan. 23, the Vikings (7-17, 3-9 NIC-10) have now won three of their past six.
Harlem (14-6, 8-4) dropped its second straight game after heading into the weekend tied for second place.
“It certainly boosts our confidence and gives us some momentum going into our last conference games,” Guilford coach Casey Kilduff said.
“Things have been going our way. We’re definitely playing our best basketball right now, and it’s the most important time of the season.”
Guilford led for most of the game after starting with a 20-16 first-quarter run behind 14 points from Harmon.
Guilford went 11 for 17 in free throws.
Thomas Hawkins followed Harmon with 15 points, seven of which came in the fourth quarter.
D.J. Richmond and Timmy Hill chipped in nine and eight points, respectively.
Casey Beck (18 points), Bo Andrews (14), Jordan Johnson (13) and Chaz Winters (12) scored in double figures for the Huskies.
